Reedley College Football 2013 Game 8 Recap
The Reedley College Tigers just can’t seem to play an entire game of good football, just one half, and that’s the reason they fell to West Hills College 39-30 Saturday afternoon at Reedley High Stadium.

There were some good things and some not so good things for the Reedley College football team to take from last Saturday’s 43-28 loss to Merced College.
The Reedley College football team is in serious trouble. I can’t think of any other way to say it. The Tigers (1-5) begin conference play this coming Saturday, and if last Saturday’s 28-0 loss to Diablo Valley College is any indication, it could be ugly.
To have a successful Athletic Department, any school–be it a high school, a junior college or a four year college–has to have a dedicated and hard working Athletic Director. Reedley College is blessed to have one of those people heading their athletic department–Javier Renteria. Javier’s “life journey,” and how he ended up as A.D. at Reedley College is really fascinating. He shared that story with me recently.
A loss is a loss, no matter how you look at it, but even though the Reedley College football team lost Saturday night to Monterey Peninsula 44-41, there were some very positive things to take away from one of the most exciting games the Tigers have played in recent years.
You could see it in the faces of the players, the coaches and the fans. Saturday night’s come from behind 22-19 win by the Reedley College Tigers over Sacramento City College was a great relief to many, and one of the most exciting games played at Reedley High School Stadium in some time.
This year of Immanuel Football has kicked off to a great start. With the addition of some new faces, the Eagles squad is set to do better than ever. After the 2012 season finished the Eagles offense knew they would have to replace the star power that Sam Isaak brought to the running back position, while also filling some key spots on the line. Their entire offense needed to be shaped once again by the incoming talent the Eagles had coming into the year.
In the sporting arena, sometimes you lose because you simply don’t execute well. Sometimes you lose because you suffer a run of bad luck. And then there are the times when you lose simply because you faced a superior opponent, Such was the case Saturday night when the Reedley College Tigers were defeated by the Fresno City College Rams, 48-7.
The Reedley College Football team traveled to Stockton for their first road game Saturday with a lot of questions that needed to be answered. Some of them were answered, but many remain a mystery after the Tigers were manhandled by San Joaquin Delta College 52-6.
The Reedley College Tigers opened the 2013 football season by losing to College of the Sequoias 41-26 Saturday night at Reedley High School Stadium.
