Jayce, one of three Bonheim sisters, is relieved that life has settled down. Her coffeehouse restored, a curse lifted, her relationship with knees-weakening Brayden a joy, and her sister recuperating, but there's that niggling sense, a vision, a warning, and the odd couple across the street.
It makes sense that in a town full of witches, there would be a veterinarian in Portsmouth who specializes in familiars. Only recently aware of her magical heritage herself, Annabelle Amelia Blessingsound Britton makes an appointment to take her disappearing (literally, at times) cat familiar for a routine checkup. Alistair receives a clean bill of health, but the same won’t soon be said for Dr. Ramona Forsythe.
When an elegant blonde steps into Hitching Post, Alabama's Little Shop of Potions, it's not surprising that owner Carly Bell Hartwell is caught off guard. Details at the end of this post on how to win copies of all 3, and a link to purchase them where a portion goes to support KRL.
She sat hunched-back on a large pumpkin, her face cast in shadow under a large black hat. The field was full of pumpkins, but none as fine as the one she chose; prodding and poking with her bony fingers, for the perfect orange texture and moment of ripeness.
While I had some trouble believing Nicolas Cage as a knight, I did enjoy Season of the Witch. The story begins with the Crusades and two knights, Behmen and Felson, (Cage and Ron Perlman) who believe they are serving God, but over time become disillusioned and desert.
