In March, we (Well, some of us...) celebrated March 14 as Pi Day (3/14 is the date; the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter is about 3.14). It was celebrated with pies...pizza, apple, Key lime, and more. Since I really like pi and pie, I have decided to unilaterally declare April Pi/Pie Month. Let’s dig in and see what I dug up.
Spring is here, and so is Easter. What foods could I feature for The Great Food Search? I thought about it, and the first thing that came to mind was an Easter Ham. The second thing I thought of was the Easter Egg. Then in a flash of insight, BAM! Sandwiches! There are sandwiches with ham, and there are sandwiches with egg. Of course, the path to figuring out the theme of this GFS was a bit more torturous than that, but “On with the Show!”

That means it’s time for that audience-favorite musical, Fiddler on the Roof, to take over the Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater stage again in a Good Company Players production starring Dan Pessano as Tevye, playing through May 12.
Farce is a kind of comedy that often includes slapstick/physical action, leering innuendo, mistaken identities, and outrageous situations. One way to judge a farce is by how many doors are on the stage, and how often they slam open or shut. Count the doors on the set of The Good Company Players’ 2nd Space Theatre production of Ken Ludwig’s 1995 comedy Moon Over Buffalo—It’s a five-banger!

Marty was a character in search of his own play, and Marty’s Turn is that play. Marc Gonzalez created Marty as a minor character for another script, but he was so loved by readers and actors that he gets his own chance to be the focus in the Fresno Rogue Performance Festival’s Hart's Haven.
