Web series are growing in popularity with more and more people discovering them. There are some amazing shows out there, and we at KRL enjoy sharing about some of those every once in awhile. This week we are sharing Jessica's video review of the Rooster Teeth animated web series RWBY, which she posted on her YouTube channel in November of 2014!

This week I'm excited to have a review of Scriptwriting 2.0, Writing for the Digital Age, along with an interesting interview with one of the book's writers, Yuri Baranovsky (who is one of the creators of my favorite web series Leap Year). Emma Approved: Web Series Review

Jane Austen is one of the most famous novelists who ever lived. Her books have romance and drama and teach us a little lesson along the way, especially in her novel Emma. Emma is a stubborn woman who is always meddling in other people’s lives by playing matchmaker. She is so busy worrying about how her friends feel that she never stops to realize her own feelings. She hurts people a long the way by being quick to judge and by going a little too far in the meddling. She learns her lesson but it takes some time.

Streamy Awards Preview

This Sunday is the fourth annual Streamy Awards for online video. KRL has previously reviewed some of the web series nominated this year and we are reposting here our reviews of those nominated series: Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Chosen, and Bravest Warriors. Axis of Action: Web Series Review

With the Streamys coming up soon (online video's version of the Emmy Awards), a lot of people are thinking about web series right now, something we at KRL have been keeping an eye on and reporting about for a while. Web series come in all different shapes and sizes, with all different kinds of budgets and target audiences. This week we are reviewing a new web series that premiered in July, and this one is just plain fun--Axis of Action.

With the rising popularity of Adventure Time, cartoons have become mainstream among the people they were popular with 20-something years ago. Since those people are “all grown up,” it’s become necessary to cater them toward adults and that is exactly what Pendleton Ward, the creator of Adventure Time seeks to do with his newest and quite popular, series: The Bravest Warriors.
