Faye Kellerman’s Orthodox Detectives: Peter and Rina Decker

by Sharon Tucker

Faye Kellerman has written twenty-four novels starring Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus Decker as of this year, and I must insist that I am revealing no surprise elements of the plot by letting readers in on the fact that they marry each other early into the series. Please. From their first encounter in The Ritual Bath (1986), onward through the most recent novel, The Bone Box (2017), it is clear that they are bashert (soul mates) bringing out the best in each other to become who each was meant to be.

Jamie Quinn Mystery Collection By Barbara Venkataraman: Audiobook Review

by Kathleen Costa

This is truly a delightful, entertaining series! Jamie Quinn may be a bit quirky with some low self-esteem issues, but one can easily identify with this young woman just trying to find her way. She loves her family, is loyal to friends and clients, misses her mom who recently died, and discovers she is more capable than she ever imagined…very realistic from her engaging first-person narrative. These books are quick reads, or listens in my case, but not short at all on enjoyment.

Vintage Mysteries Star at Antiquarian Book Fair

by Carol J. Perry

I love a good mystery. So do millions of other readers, and some of them don’t mind paying a premium price in order to acquire a particular volume. A hundred dealers from around the country displayed their wares in well lighted, neatly piped and draped booths, and mysteries were prominently featured in many of them.
