Every year, hopefuls from around the country move to Hollywood to fulfill their dreams of achieving acting stardom. The glitz and glamour of the art form is displayed at award shows, on social media, and in magazines. Some make it and some don’t, but that doesn’t stop people from giving Tinseltown a try.

I have been a feminist for as long as I can remember. When pastors at church would talk about a wife obeying her husband or the man being the head of household, I never understood why. What makes a man better than a woman? I never bought into the sexist ideals society pushed. So, it was no surprise to anyone that I would want to participate in the Women’s March in Fresno this year.
