A Weekend in Reedley

It’s Friday circa 1947 -- the weekend is almost here -- but first I have to get through the day in Mrs. Shellenberg’s kindergarten class at Lincoln School. Friday was spaghetti day and I could hardly wait for lunchtime. When the clock finally rolled around to noon, I sat beside Kenny Parker in the cafeteria while waiting to be served.

Toy Story 3: Movie Review

Move over little kids, I’ve waited 11 years to see this movie. I have grown up with these beloved characters and was excited to see them in a new adventure. Woody and the gang face a new predicament in the toy world as their owner, Andy, leaving for college. His mother wants him to toss stuff or put it in the attic.

Visalia Happenings

In 2007, Visalia dedicated The Jim Byrd Playground. This very unique playground was designed with the assistance of students from two Visalia elementary schools and physically constructed entirely by citizen volunteers. One of its features is the 1000 hands wall.
