Stephanie DuBois is All About Life, Art, Business, & Entertainment

by Steven Sanchez

Life, Art, Business, & Entertainment is the motto that defines the local startup marketing agency, The Method. It’s run by Stephanie DuBois, the licensed hairstylist of sixteen years who formerly owned the salon, The Paint Room, which unfortunately went under due to the pandemic. Having seen and lived through the year where businesses and people struggled because of the lockdown, she took the initiative to switch to a passion she’d always wanted to pursue which was public relations. With that drive, she wanted to help local businesses, big/small/local/independent, by expanding their social media presence and have them get involved with in-person events to drive their brand and generate profit.

Great Food Search: Pandemic Rogue Food

by Terrance McArthur

The 2021 Fresno Rogue Festival has come and gone, it’s virtual shows departed, but I still have my memories...of food. Usually, I write about all the Tower District restaurants I go to during the festival. Instead, I picked up meals on the way home from work or threw something together at home. This episode of The Great Food Search will follow the journey of what I ate during Virtual Rogue 2021.

The Soccer Diaries: A Clovis Woman’s Travels Through Sport

by Steven Sanchez

The majority of us have dreams of traveling the world. There’s so much out there we want to see. So many different cultures, customs, beliefs, ways of life, food, the list goes on. Those dreams are usually dashed by the aesthetic that is “so little time” to do all the things we want to do and see. For adults, more often than not, it’s our obligations—mostly our jobs and careers—and the time we dedicate to those commitments that don’t make room to travel. Another fantasy to add to that list is playing professional sports.

Great Food Search: It Came From Someone Else’s Kitchen Take-Out Edition

by Terrance McArthur

It happened. My daughter and I got sick of our own cooking. After three months of “It Came From My Kitchen,” we (and my wife) couldn’t take any more variations of Slow-Cooker Surprise and “Stuff Added to Packaged Mixes,” but our editor didn’t want us going to restaurants and dining like nothing was wrong with the world, even if they were open for business. For that reason, this Great Food Search features take-out food. (Lorie wanted places that deliver, too, but I have a perfectly rational fear of strangers coming to my door.)
