Victoria Winters comes to Collinwood, an isolated mansion in coastal Maine, to work as a governess, but soon finds herself drawn into a strange, Gothic world of vampires, ghosts and a family curse that dates back centuries. This is the official beginning to the immensely popular black and white soap opera soap opera. It opened in June of 1966, no doubt part of the reason so many kids got hooked on the story.
We had the pleasure of seeing mystery author Victoria Heckman at the latest Left Coast Crime conference last week. It is always a delight to chat with her. This week she is sharing with KRL a post on her experience publishing with a small press. After her post we have a review of one of her novels, Burn Out, and Victoria's video interview with us from Left Coast.
This week in KRL I, the editor-in-chief and publisher, get to be interviewed by our own Marilyn Meredith, and have my latest mystery novel, The Final Note, reviewed by Pat Browning. With a book event coming up in Fresno next week featuring three KRL authors-Marilyn Meredith (also mystery), myself & vampire writer James Garcia Jr., this seemed like the perfect time for this.
