One thing we enjoy doing at KRL is putting the spotlight on those involved in local theatre, so those of us who attend can get to know the people on the stage and behind the scenes of the great productions we have in the Valley. Sometimes we feature someone who has been involved in theatre for years, and sometimes it's one of the younger, up and coming performers. This time it is one of the younger ones that has caught our eye in some great productions over the past year with his beautiful voice, dancing, and sparkling stage presence-Dominic Grijalva.

This Valley is blessed with so much talent and one of my favorite features in KRL is our local actor profiles--introducing our readers to the people behind that talent. Most of the actors/directors we have profiled have been in theatre for years, but once in awhile we decide to feature a young talent that has caught our eye--one of those was Benjamin McNamara, and this week we are profiling another--Daniel Hernandez, who can currently be seen on stage at Roger Rocka's in Singin' In The Rain.

Jekyll & Hyde Presented by CMT

I never stop being amazed by the level of talent that this Valley has to offer and I hope I never will. However, until seeing Spring Awakening presented by CMT (Children's Musical Theaterworks) in Fresno this summer I had never seen a CMT show. After seeing Jekyll & Hyde this weekend, I have now been blown away twice in a row and have to say why did I wait so long to discover them?

This past weekend the first of several Valley Premieres of Tony Award winning musicals coming to the area this summer hit the Fresno Memorial Auditorium Stage. Spring Awakening, presented by The Underground @ CMT, opened to enthusiastic crowds and some local criticism for its content.
