Reedley College Football Game 4 Recap

There’s not a lot to be said about the Reedley College football game this past Saturday night. Well, there’s plenty that could be said, but suffice it to say, it was a bad night for the Tiger defense, as they gave up 76 points in losing to West Hills, 76-44, dropping their season record to 1-3.

It was the most points ever given up by the Tigers, and it started on the first play from scrimmage, as the Falcons threw a halfback option pass to a wide open receiver for a touchdown. The first half was actually very competitive, as there were ten lead changes. But the third quarter proved to be the difference in the game, as West Hills came out hot, the Tigers came out flat, and West Hills outscored Reedley 29-0.

The Tiger offense looks like it’s rounding into pretty good shape, with quarterback Mike Ferrara-Weed having another good game, and running back Joshua Andrews running wild, but the Tiger defense is in disarray again. Things looked to be improving after a very good week three performance against Cabrillo, but the West Hills game was a definite step backwards.

The Tigers will be on the road again this Saturday as they travel to Salinas for a 6 p.m. game with Hartnell College. Now is not the time to give up on this team, folks. They are young, they are talented and they are going to learn how to win. Let’s stick with them!
