Lovely Lizzie is a 12-year-old Shih Tzu who has been with us since early April. Lizzie was surrendered to us by her elderly owner, who was no longer able to care for her. We would love to see Lizzie adopted into a loving, caring home for the remainder of her life.
Marmaduke is a seven-year-old blue American Staffordshire Terrier who has been with Valley Animal Center since November of 2016. Though Marmaduke was adopted in 2017, he was returned four days later at the adoptee’s discretion. Due to his friendly nature and contagious smile, Marmaduke has been a staff favorite since the beginning.
Wilfred is a five-year-old Terrier mix that came to Valley Animal Center in 2016. Wilfred was adopted, but unfortunately was returned to the center two years later because the owner was moving into a senior-living facility. Wilfred is shy and a bit timid around new people and dogs. This Terrier mix loves toys and is a great lap dog once he gets acclimated to his surroundings.
Terrific Tulip is a tan and white, eight-year-old Chihuahua who has been in our care since September 2018. Tulip was abandoned at Valley Animal Center. After her initial adoption, Tulip had a reaction to her vaccines which rendered her temporarily immobile; she is now unable to receive any additional vaccines. When she returned to the center, Tulip made a full recovery and is now ready for her forever home.
Turner is a five-year-old Chihuahua mix that came into our care in August 2018. Valley Animal Center’s staff rescued Turner just days before he was scheduled to be euthanized at Tulare Animal Services.
Back in 2004, when Valley Animal Center (VAC) was known as the California Feline Foundation, a Siamese kitten named Chloe thought she found her forever home. But in 2018, the family that had adopted Chloe, surrendered her to the CCSPCA because she was “too old” for them. Last month, Valley Animal Center rescued Chloe from the CCSPCA. She is now waiting for her true forever home at VAC.
Chester is a sweet, seven-year-old male Terrier mix. He was taken in by Fresno Humane as a stray earlier this year, and didn’t come to Valley Animal Center until February. He adores the staff, but is ready to go to his forever home.
Our staff describes Chester as being very shy and calm. Since he is a bit older, he likes to spend most of his time lying in his comfy bed without much interference.
Tim and Tom are two of the many adult cats available for adoption at Valley Animal Center. They have both been in our care for a few years. Unfortunately they have not found their forever home because they are often overlooked since they are positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
Jewels is a loving Pit Bull mix that we estimate to be about four-years-old. A couple of months ago, she and her ten puppies came to Valley Animal Center from the CCSPCA.
JoJo is a playful, year-and-a-half old cat. A couple of months ago, she came to Valley Animal Center from Valley Oak SPCA and has been waiting patiently for a forever home ever since. She is adored by our staff because of her outgoing nature.
