RHS Boys Soccer Wins Valley Title

February 23 at the Mineral King Bowl in Visalia, all was at stake for the Reedley High School Boys’ soccer team. Against the Redwood High Rangers, the intensity increased after every move. Sophomore defender Rene Prieto made his mark by scoring two goals for the team, and with a phenomenal block from the RHS boys’ goalkeeper Marco Leyva, they won 5-4 with tears of joy streaming down their faces.

RHS Drama Department 2017: What’s In Store This Year

Every year the Reedley High School drama department never ceases to bring energy and enthusiasm in the form of arts. Each year hard-working students and staff come together to bring delightful performances to the public and local community. From their fall show to their musical in the spring, many great things are in store for the program. Here are some of the things that are underway, be sure to attend a show!

Teachers are much more than just educators. They inspire, create, and encourage greatness from the people around them. Whether it’s investing in their students to strive for success or simply by instructing complex ideas that help them grow intellectually. They shape the lives of our community in grand ways and are deserving of an immense amount of recognition, more than what they usually receive. We would like to recognize one of those teachers who has positively influenced the lives of many, and has changed the community for the better: RHS Calculus teacher Don Friesen.

That day, the seniors arrived at the school at eight o’clock to rehearse the ceremony. That night, at eight o’clock, they walked down the football field in green and white gowns, in the presence of over five thousand family and friends. There was a lot of happy and sad tears before and after the ceremony.

For years now, the Reedley High Boys Golf Team has brought pride back to the Pirates. And this year, when the golf courses are greener than ever, they look to do it again.
Every year since 2011, Reedley High has been the league champion in golf, except for the heart break in 2014 when Hoover claimed the title.
