When it comes to the arts, the Central Valley is hardly a wasteland. With theatre and dance companies and festivals, orchestras, bands, and plenty of art galleries and related events, the scene is vibrant and thriving. Another component that is less showy and flashy but just as vital is literature.
For our local readers, I am so excited to share that I will be doing two book events with fellow mystery author Jennifer J. Chow this month! Jennifer has a wonderful new series set in the area and I have my Tower District Mystery series. We will be talking about both, interviewing each other (which sounded fun), opening up for questions from the audience, and possibly reading a little from our books.
When it rains, it pours: roommate moves, mortgage too expensive, animal rescue defunct, podcast not lucrative, and publisher says goodbye. This forces Roxi Carlucci to take cover and pack up her belongings along with her Excalibur replica sword, her well-worn copy of The Once and Future King, and her blue dumbo rat named Merlin and move to Fresno, California.
