While June brings sunshine into our lives, and possibly an end to quarantining, it also brings sad news of the loss of one of our authors. The rest of the titles are all new series for your summer reading.

I love cookbooks! I have a collection of 50 books and 360 eBooks, and although I’m not a chef, not even a real fanatic in the kitchen, I am experienced in better-than-basic techniques, competent in following directions, and greatly enjoy putting together everyday meals, sweet desserts, and holiday feasts. I also love cozy mysteries! So, I’m thrilled many favorite cozy mystery authors have published cookbooks compiling recipes from their series, and often family favorites, too. Check out these eight cookbooks, explore links to author websites, view Amazon & Goodreads, and enjoy fun insights on their influences, culinary experiences, and best thoughts on Thanksgiving!

It’s late April and some parts of the country are getting floods, snow, and even fire. Let’s hope things settle down in May. Meanwhile, wait it out with these titles from favorite authors.

Looking for an inexpensive, easy to wrap, home delivery gift for friends? Books are the answer. Plus, you can borrow them back later (that’s fair, right?). You’ll be surprised at your favorite authors starting a new series. Some of this month’s offerings have wonderful recipes to eat by the hearth. So, curl up with hot buttered rum, ignore the messy house, and curl up and read. Merry, merry!

It’s been a busy summer for tourists on the Gulf of Maine, and the Gray Whale Inn is completely booked for the entire week. Ten Northern Spirit Tours guests are staying for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and owner Natalie Barnes is thrilled to be able to join them for one of their whale-watching ventures. The glimpse of majestic Humpback whales “bubble netting” and leaping out of the water is soured by the sight of one tangled in dangerous fishing gear, not to mention the boat captain’s too-close and illegal approach.

What better time to start a new series than the beginning of a new year? Here’s two that might interest you and plenty of old favorites.
First up is Color Me Dead by Teresa Trent, the first in the Henry Park mysteries.
