The South Valley’s Ryan Dean and the Bricktops with vocalist/guitarist Ryan Dean, guitarist John Bell, bassist Mario Teixeira, and drummer Matt Hopson, are kicking off the New Year with their first Fresno show tonight (January 16) at Audie’s Olympic. Kings River Life caught up with Ryan Dean on the eve of the Audiepalooza 2016 All Star Western to discuss the band’s origins and their bright future ahead.

Wait Until Dark: Thriller comes to The Temple Theater in Hanford

Hanford is known for Dairy Industry (especially the ice cream), but the Temple Theater is noteworthy as well. Home to the Kings Players, the non-profit organization puts out four staged shows per year at the Historic Landmark. The third installment, Wait Until Dark, is opening Friday September 4 and runs through Sunday, September 27.

Olivia is a medician, a woman with great healing powers as part of her worship of Our Lady’s Tree. She is fleeing the Kingdom of Caskentia because the Clockwork Daggers, a secret unit (that everybody knows about) under the Queen’s command, is after her, and the rebels of the cursed land called the Waste are out to capture her, too. She is armed with medicinal herbs and Alonzo, a former Dagger who quit to protect her. Olivia’s life is quite complicated in The Clockwork Crown by Hanford native Beth Cato.
