It’s Owl Fest 2019 in Caerphilly, Virginia, and for once Meg Langslow’s home is not the center of her grandfather’s well-intentioned chaos. Instead, J. Montgomery Blake has selected the Caerphilly Inn for the Blake Foundation’s December Owl conference of professors, scientists, and many unapproved owls.

Considering the number of extended family members around her, it would be difficult at first to realize that Meg Langslow is not actually still in her hometown of Caerphilly, Virginia. That’s because now that Meg’s famous grandfather, television naturalist Dr. J. Montgomery Blake, has decided to start giving lectures on environmental and educational cruise line ships, he also ensures that he will be accompanied by his many family members and much-abused entourage.

Meg Langslow leads an active life, what with helping at the church, being married to Michael, and mother to twin boys. That’s not counting the things her mother volunteers her for, or her dad, or even grandad. No wonder she carries her planner with her at all times.

While Meg, her husband, and their twin sons are camping out in a borrowed caravan and tent, other artists are hunkering down in their studios to guard them from recent acts of vandalism.
