Puffs on Stage at Selma Arts Center

Harry Potter fans rejoice, we may have to drive all the way to San Francisco to see Harry Potter and The Cursed Child but we can still enjoy some Harry Potter fun on stage right here in the Valley! Puffs, which is a Harry Potter inspired comedy, opened on the Selma Arts Center stage this past weekend and it is so much fun!

Rogue Preview: The Miss American Dream Show

Sierra Camille is thrilled to be bringing her solo performance of The Miss American Dream Show to Fresno as a part of this year’s Rogue Festival starting on Friday, March 6, at the Vista Theater. Sierra hails from Oakland, California, and began writing and devising this original solo work with Dan Griffiths in the Spring of 2019 in San Francisco’s Clown Lab basement.

Steven’s Eventful October/November

While everybody was trick or treating for candy, my treat this past month, and heading into November, was attending shows. I didn’t even have to knock on doors in the Fall for entertainment. I was more like a kid in a candy store; I was like “I’ll go to this event or that one.” The holiday festivities are on the horizon, but the music and comedy festivities are well underway, and there’s more to look forward to as we get closer to the end of the year. Here’s a little taste of the shows I attended and what took place.

As America’s celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month ends, for comedian and actress Cristela Alonzo, every day is a celebration of her Mexican identity. It’s not just a celebration for her, it’s a statement, a crusade, a purpose, and she takes it seriously. She’s best known for her self-titled ABC sitcom, Cristela, back in 2014. Because of that breakthrough, she is the first Latina woman to create, produce, write, and star in her own US primetime comedy in television history.
