The Pieces At Rogue 2014

by Kathleen Denny

Families! Every child grows up in a different one, even with the same parents at the same address. Take brothers and sisters, six of them scattered, one snowy Wisconsin December, and their father’s funeral, gather them in and dramedy will follow. In this household, sailing and the law combine with Hagar the Horrible, war, peace and The Energizer Bunny. Argument was Dad’s favorite sport and his oldest daughter was his designated sparring partner. And she’s been assigned to deliver a eulogy. “Something nice,” says her sister. It is a mystery to most people, however, just what an arts consortium is.

Strolling Through the Tower and Beyond

by Tom Sims

I was doing one of my strolls through the Tower District the other day. Keep in mind, I do not live, work, or do much business there. I am no expert. I am a casual and enthusiastic admirer. I am also a hunter-gatherer, looking for fruits and seeds to glean transferable knowledge. I was strolling and observing. My mind went back to my first impressions. Please, do not throw tomatoes. I am being honest.
