Usually, The Great Food Search seeks out unique dishes and eating establishments in the San Joaquin Valley, but this installment is a little different. I focused on chain restaurants. I dragged my wife (All right, sometimes she dragged me) to places in Clovis, Fresno, and Kingsburg. We discovered Spring menus and new offerings at well-known restaurants ... and they were good! All Shook Up On Stage at Roger Rocka’s

Take a handful of William Shakespeare’s plays like Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, sauce them with two dozen Elvis Presley songs, and what do you get? All Shook Up, an effervescent jukebox musical now playing in a Good Company Players production at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater through July 9.

Godspell: A stage musical based on the Book of Matthew in the New Testament, conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, with music and new lyrics (Some lyrics are taken from hymnals and Biblical scriptures. Two songs are by Peggy Gordon and Jay Hamburger: “Day by Day,” from the Off-Off-Broadway version, and “Beautiful City, which was written for the 1973 movie.) by Stephen Schwartz.
