After the unfortunately disappointing E3 conferences last month, I was feeling a little down. But, luckily, things have picked up again in the gaming world and there are some exciting game releases to share.

E3 is the most exciting time of year in the gaming world. Unfortunately, this year's E3 was overall lackluster and disappointing. Because of this, I will only be talking about two of the conferences, the best conferences: the Xbox & Bethesda conference and the Nintendo conference.
Next month is E3, the biggest video game event of the year. Game developers and publishers are gearing up for their big announcements next month. But, even though it is not time for E3 yet, there is still some exciting video game news to discuss.
Game studios have continued to surprise us this year with impromptu showcases and live-streamed events. The first few months of the year are usually slow for games as everyone is preparing for summer game releases and they are still reeling from the busyness of the holiday season, but this year every month has been filled with exciting announcements.
Playstations 5 and Xboxes One X/S continue to be hard to acquire, despite the consoles now being out for nearly five months. However, just a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to snag one for myself. It was a stressful and taxing journey, however, which brings me to my point. Why are these consoles so hard to acquire? The answer is the pandemic.
Video game news is dying down a bit as video game developers prepare for the summer game releases. Still, there are some exciting things to discuss such as TV adaptations of video games and a Persona 5 sequel.
While 2020 was terrible for a myriad of reasons, the video game industry thrived. At a time when people needed an escape most, video games provided. It is almost impossible to determine the best games of 2020 because so many amazing games released. So instead I will be determining my favorite games of 2020, they may not all be considered the best by all critics, but they are the games that I personally loved the most last year.
With the holidays around the corner, people are scrambling to find gifts for their loved ones. Video games are the perfect gift. They are fun and something you can do safely at home during the pandemic. The video game industry has not slowed down during this time so there are plenty of games to choose from.
It’s October, which means it’s time to play some spooky games. Horror is a genre in video games I have grown to love over the years. It allows the player to be fully immersed and participate in them instead of just being a bystander watching it all happen. While that might seem terrifying to many, it is an exhilarating feeling.
The console wars have truly returned this month. Xbox and Playstation are battling it out for the best console. Many people cannot afford both consoles, so they must decide between the two. Both companies are always competing with one another, especially now that a new Xbox and new Playstation are about to be released.
