KRL is taking an unplanned vacation this weekend! This week our oldest went into labor and it lasted for 2 days before they ended up having a c section Thursday night. Baby's due date was this coming Sunday and I had things planned to take off next weekend, but instead there isn't an issue this weekend because I have barely been home since Wednesday morning.
Ride the Cyclone opened at the Selma Arts Center this past weekend. The experience of this show begins before you even sit down in your seat as you are led through a tunnel up to the on-stage seating.

A Christmas Carol will be on stage at 2nd Space in Fresno through December 23.
Reedley’s very own theatre company, River City Theatre Co.(RCTC), has seen a lot of changes over the last few years. Recently, they hired local actor Peter Allwine as their new General Manager. KRL thought it would be interesting to get to know some of the current RCTC board members a little better—many are also local actors themselves who had been on the RCTC stage many times over the years. We are starting off with Stevie Barnett, who is their current board secretary.

The Raging Storm is the third book in Ann Cleeves’ Two Rivers mystery series featuring Detective Inspector Matthew Venn. The first two books are The Long Call and The Heron’s Cry. I am a huge fan of Ann Cleeves and love this series, so I couldn't wait for this book to come out.
It has been a while since KRL interviewed any local teachers, so we thought it was about time. This week we are chatting with the new choir director for KCUSD, Calista Domingcil. She began this August. Calista says that her job as Choir Director is to teach students how to sing, read music, and work well with others.
During the writers and actors strikes in the US (the writers' one has finally ended) I have still had plenty of TV from the UK to watch, and one of my new favorites is Mrs. Sidhu Investigates on Acorn TV.
