Soon she becomes entangled in the coed’s murder despite roadblocks from her best friend, boyfriend and a detective.

After I misspelled Daco Auffenorde’s name wrong in my column, she gave me the true origins. Her father, being a physicist, came up with this formula for naming his daughter: “The derivative (D) of acceleration (A) at the speed of light on cm per second (C) is equal to zero (O).” Hence, DACO. On an episode of StarTalk, Neil Degrasse Tyson (Cosmos) was challenged to guess the meaning of her name. Another fun fact: this author of The Libra Affair was raised in Wernher Von Braun’s Rocket City (Huntsville, Alabama). So, now you know!

How interesting. My father was named John Ruskin for the noted writer of the last half of the 19th century. (My grandfather was a writer.) So, I picked up Ruskin as a middle name. Not as impressive as DACO’s derivation. Good post as always, Sunny.
