If you’re looking for an interesting, yet far-fetched movie to watch, Skyline might be the one for you. I’ve never been one for science fiction, and this movie did nothing to change my feelings about that. However, if you like Sci-Fi this may be for you.

When a young couple flies to meet a friend in Los Angeles, California, they seem to have an extravagant and exciting escape in store. Everything is good until a series of odd and paranormal events begin to occur, and soon the couple and their hosts are battling for their lives. If science fiction is your thing, Skyline is definitely the movie for you.

Skyline is directed and produced by brothers Colin and Greg Strause, whose company Hydraulx has provided visual effects for Avatar, Iron Man 2, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and 300. The main cast is made up of relative unknowns. Eric Balfour plays Jarrod who can currently be seen in SyFy’s newest drama series, Haven, based on Stephen King’s novel The Colorado Kid. Scottie Thompson, who plays Elaine, has had guest and reoccurring roles on TV series such as Trauma, Bones, CSI and NCIS. She was also in the 2009 reboot of Star Trek.

Allison Mackie is 16 years old and an ongoing contributor to our Teen Talk section; although she enjoys many things, her passion is writing.
