Christmas is almost here, which means it is time for some amazing video game releases.

video gameOn November 8, Death Stranding was released for PC and PS4. The game has been teased for years, and it was finally released. Hideo Kojima is a legend in the gaming world so people were highly anticipating the release of this game. The game features such famous actors as Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen. Death Stranding is set in a complicated and creepy post-apocalyptic world where the human race is quickly dwindling due to a supernatural invisible creature somehow turning up in the human world. The game is an open world, survival horror game that may seem long but is worth it. Reviews were initially mixed, but once the social aspect of the game came into play, critics and fans alike loved it. If you know someone who loves horror and survival games, make sure to add this to their Christmas list.

pokemonOn November 15, the newest game in the Pokemon series Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield were released for the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it seems that the game release was overshadowed by drama. Game Freak, the studio that makes the Pokemon games announced that only four-hundred Pokemon would be available to catch in the new games, instead of the usual one thousand. They claimed that it was because they were taking the time to redo the Pokemon character models, but recently, that was found out to not be true. So fans, understandably, are angry at the studio for not only lying but for limiting the amount of Pokemon available in the game. Despite this, the games reviews are pretty good and the game seems to be making the fans who stuck around happy. If you have a Pokemon fan in your life, I highly suggest this game as a Christmas gift.

On November 15, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is a single player action adventure game starring former Jedi Cal Kestis as he attempts to outrun the empire. Fallen Order takes place five years after Revenge of the Sith and before Solo. Fans have had a lot of fun playing so far and the critics praise the next level graphics but are disappointed by the lackluster gameplay. If you have a Star Wars fan in your life, grab this while Christmas shopping.

Many games were released for the holiday season, but I believe these to be the highlights. All three games would make great gifts for the Christmas season.
