The Kings Players’ final production for the 2024 Season will be The Education of Angels, by Matthew Carlin. It runs from November 1 through November 17. Two angels-in-training are sent to earth to help Dave who has cold feet on his wedding day. This is their final exam to earn their wings. Toss in a New York cabbie, a bossy and interfering ex-wife, a kindly pastor, and a best man who takes his job very seriously! A witty and touching show all ages will enjoy!

Anthony Wilds & Al Lorenzo

The Education of Angels will feature five brand new actors to the stage. December Domingo plays the ex-wife of the nervous groom. She has been honing her malicious skills so she can tell the groom what a loser he is and that his OCD behavior will not allow him to follow through with this wedding. Nice gal, huh? Then we have George Stalmah who hails from Ohio, Spokane, and San Diego. He will portray the kindly pastor who allows the groom access to the church even though it is eight hours before the wedding.

Doc Bennett, Steven Walker & Faith Capp

Doc Bennett is also a first timer to the stage. He plays the chocolate-loving best man who threatens physical force to get the hesitant groom to the altar. Faith Capp, a junior at Lemoore Middle College High School, is one of the angels. Just ask, and she will tell you she is having a great time in her first production ever! Our final newcomer is Lyla VanIngen, nine, whose role will be revealed when you see the play.

Of course, you will recognize Steven Walker and Anthony Wilds from their memorable performances in both Leading Ladies and Outward Bound earlier this year. And who can forget Wayne Tilley, director and an actor in Leading Ladies? Their roles are Steven, the OCD groom; Anthony, the other angel; and Wayne, the outrageous cabbie.

The troupe is full of good-hearted people looking to express creative freedom through improv games and exercises, as well as other on-stage performances. Tiny Town gathers on Thursdays, from 6:30 to 8:30 (location varies). If you would like to get in on the fun and join the troupe today, please contact Payton at (559) 707-9040.
