My name is Bill Nicolay and I am no different from a lot you reading this column. I live from paycheck to paycheck and I have to consider every dollar spent to assure that I am getting the “Best Bang for My Buck”. I like the finer things in life, but, with a limited income, I have to plan carefully how I am going to acquire what I need and save for what I want.
I have lived on this planet for almost 60 years now, and I have learned this: nothing is really free except salvation, things worth having are worth waiting for, and you get what you pay for. If you didn’t pay much for an item, there is usually a good reason why. Either it won’t last or you will not get the most pleasure from the experience.
Well, I’ve got great news for you. If you are into leisure sports, in particular, golf, then read on. For the past two years, I have been an employee at Ridge Creek Golf Course in Dinuba. I have worked there since they opened in July of 2008. We are a family that is dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients and assuring that their time spent with us is a memorable experience. At Ridge Creek, you truly get what you pay for and more! This course is by far the finest golf course in the Central Valley. This is the type of course that avid golfers have dreams about.
Located just off Mountain View, at 3018 Ridge Creek Drive, you will find a Heathland style golf course likened to those found in Scotland and abroad. Designed by John Fought, this course offers a welcoming staff right from your arrival. The manicured fairways, white sand bunkers, challenging greens, and native wildlife make for a truly pleasurable day. There is a Game Improvement Area to work on your short game, a state of the art driving range, and two practice putting greens.
Ridge Creek offers a wide range of discount specials including a rewards club, twilight and super-twilight rates, along with discount rates for seniors, military, junior golfers and much more.
If that were not enough, there is a great bar and restaurant named Three Finger Jacks, where Chef Doug will ignite your pallet with a menu of assorted appetizers and entree choices. Everything from drinks to dessert! You can visit their website. There is always something exciting happening at Ridge Creek Golf Course. Tournaments, weddings, class reunions, business meetings, local community group gatherings, and so much more. The phone number is 559-591-2254.
Want to get what you pay for? This is the place and it’s open to the public. Plan your next big event or just experience it first hand for yourself. Pamper yourself and experience a finer thing in life—you’ll feel like a member of an exclusive golf club. After all, aren’t you worth it?
