Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno shares with us every other month about their rescue dogs.
Summer is ending … it’s the perfect time to FALL in love with a dog from Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.
Tae – Black Female, 1.5 years, 48 lbs.
Good things come in small packages! Are you looking for that perfect addition to your family? One that will be by your side anytime, day or night, no matter the adventure? Then allow me to introduce you to Tae. This girl is fun-loving and super sweet! She enjoys car rides and will gladly go along wherever life takes you.
As a young dog, she enjoys being active. Some of her favorite activities are swimming (she loves the pool!), rolling on the grass, and playing ball. Do you like to travel? Tae does too! Hiking in the mountains, long walks on the beach, and playdates at the dog park would all be right up her alley. When the day is done and it’s time to unwind, she also enjoys hanging out on the couch with her people, getting pets, and taking a nap.
Tae is well-behaved in the house and has earned the trust to be left alone for short periods in her foster home. She is crate trained and sleeps contently through the night, though a spot on your bed would suit her just as well. She walks well on a leash, but can be distracted by new sights, sounds, and smells which is to be expected as she learns new surroundings. Additional training is always helpful as a dog transitions to their new family and routine. She loves people of all sizes and gets along well with other dogs. Tae would do well as either an only dog in the family or with a playmate.
Tae is a healthy girl who is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her forever family. As with any dog, she will need continued training and regular exercise. She is treat motivated and very trainable.

Phoenix – Black Male, 1.5 years, 65 lbs.
Meet Phoenix, the energetic and exuberant pup who can’t wait to light up your life! This playful canine is an excellent addition to any family looking for a high-energy companion. Phoenix is a social butterfly and generally gets along well with most dogs. Whether it’s a rousing game of fetch or a frolic in the park, he loves his playtime with furry friends. His sociable nature makes Phoenix an excellent companion for both humans and four-legged pals.
Not only is Phoenix full of energy, but he’s also a sharp learner. He has mastered basic training commands and is always eager to show off his impressive skills. Sit, stay, and paw are just a few tricks Phoenix can perform flawlessly. With his enthusiasm and quick learning abilities, he’ll be a joy to train and continue his education with. It’s important to note that Phoenix can become overexcited during walks and may bark at other animals. This is something that will require ongoing training and patience to manage. With consistent reinforcement and positive reinforcement techniques, Phoenix can learn to walk calmly and politely. Despite his excitability, Phoenix’s playful and affectionate nature shines through. He loves spending time outdoors, exploring new sights and smells. Whether it’s a hike in the woods or a run on the beach, he thrives on activities that engage his exuberant spirit.
When it’s time to wind down, Phoenix knows how to relax and cuddle up next to you for a cozy night in. He may have bursts of excitement, but he also has a loving and affectionate side that will make you feel truly cherished. If you are an experienced dog owner who can provide the structure and guidance Phoenix needs, he could be the perfect fit for your family. With a little training and consistent exercise, Phoenix will grow into a well-rounded canine companion.
Both of these beautiful dogs are ready for adoption. They have been vet checked, are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Now they just need a family to give them a nice soft bed, a full food dish, chewy toys, walks, and of course, lots of love!
These are just two of the many dogs available for adoption through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. With shelters at full capacity, these and so many more dogs need all the help we can give them.
