The honeymoon is over, but the romance remains in Anastasia Pollack’s latest outing in the Anastasia Pollack Crafting mystery series. Pollack is the crafts editor for American Woman, a magazine with enough internal politics to keep one guessing who’s in charge.

Fresh from her working honeymoon–new husband Zachary Barnes was working, Anastasia was finding dead bodies and solving murders–Pollack must decide whether to sign a contract that resolves her financial woes, or to refuse and maintain some shred of privacy for herself and her teen sons Alex and Nick.

Pollack’s woes increase when the head of the TV production company that offered the contract is shot dead in front of her home. Suspects and clues emerge and shift places in the possibility-hierarchy as Anastasia and Zachary try to help the police uncover the killer.

Despite a communist mother-in-law and her friends who create chaos in her life, Pollack weighs her options and follows the clues in a shifting landscape of suspects. On top of that, she tends to her family and offers food and advice to her police detective friend who is stretched thin and works too many hours without sleep.

If you like your mysteries with a healthy dose of humor, Winston delivers. Sorry, Knot Sorry can be read as a standalone, yet Winston balances her characters’ backstories so readers of previous volumes aren’t bored. A delightful read whether you’re at the beach or in your favorite recliner with a glass of wine.
