Children’s Musical Theaterworks is thrilled to present the hit musical Mean Girls, based on Tina Fey’s 2004 film, at the Fresno Memorial Auditorium in Downtown Fresno from July 12-21. This highly-anticipated production promises to bring the audience into the drama-filled world of high school, complete with teenage antics, cliques, and gossip.

The Show

Follow Cady Heron, a new student at an Illinois high school, as she navigates the treacherous world of teenage cliques and gossip. With the help of her friends, Cady takes on the ruthless Regina George and her popular clique, The Plastics. But as Cady rises to the top, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung. With its witty dialogue, catchy songs, and relatable characters, Mean Girls is a musical that will have you laughing, cheering, and maybe even reminiscing about your own high school days.

The Cast and Crew

The show features two talented casts of over 50 actors ages 14-18 (notably Alexis Shelton and Zelia Ankrum rotating as Cady Heron, and London Lacy and Ren Baker alternating as the notorious Regina George), led by director Josh Montgomery, who has an impressive resume of international and national tours, including DisneyLive! and Theatre under the Stars. Montgomery’s extensive experience as both a Director and Choreographer includes credits such as Chicago, A Chorus Line, Singing in the Rain, The Wedding Singer, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Big River, and Grease. With his expertise and the talent of the young cast, this production of Mean Girls is sure to be a standout.
