This week we have a giveaway of Beyond a Reasonable Donut by Ginger Bolton and Pint of No Return by Dana Mentink, which were both featured in a past Coming Attractions. Details on how to enter below.

June is finally here and it’s beginning to feel like summer. Antiques and eats are on this month’s menu. Enjoy!

Tracy Gardner debuts a new series, the Avery Ayers Antique mysteries. After her parents’ death, Avery takes over the family business, Antiquities & Artifacts. She’s in Lilac Grove living with her younger sister, her crazy aunt, and an Afghan hound. When a museum hires her to appraise a rare ruby, it looks like one stolen from a Xiang Dynasty long ago. Could the culprit be an art collector, the curator, acquisitions liaison, or an actor? Was the ruby the cause of her parents’ death? It’s a Ruby Red Herring that Avery has to solve.

Across the pond in Ashburton is a fledgling antique store owned by Juno Brown. When she buys a wardrobe for the store, she doesn’t expect a dead body inside. The farmer she bought it from is also dead. The identical twin of the man in the wardrobe shows up and wants Juno to investigate. The Dartmoor Murders is the fourth in the Devon Mystery series by Stephanie Austin.

It’s Murphy’s Slaw in the third Alaskan Diner mystery by Elizabeth Logan. Charlie Cooke loves the Bear Claw Diner. What she doesn’t love is the state fair. When her friend begs her to go, a vendor is found murdered. Charlie realizes it’s a high school friend. Now it’s personal and Charlie sets out to investigate with a state trooper.

Summer in Ashland, Oregon, brings in tourists for the Shakespeare Festival. The Torte Bakery’s Juliet Capshaw is excited by the increase in business and because their head barista is competing in the West Coast Barista Cup. But the judge misjudges when he spit out the barista’s offering. Later, the judge is found dead clutching the “bad” latte. Now it’s up to Jules to solve the case. It’s Mocha, She Wrote, the thirteenth in Ellie Alexander’s Bake Shop mysteries.

Maybe coffee’s not your cup of tea. In that case, head south to Courtney Kelly’s Fairy Garden and Tea Shop in Carmel, California. Unfortunately, her friend gets into two public hair-pulling fights with a local art critic. The next thing you know, the critic is stabbed to death with a letter opener from Courtney’s shop. Her friend is a sleepwalker—could she have done it in her sleep? Maybe someone else was ticked off the critic—like her long-suffering husband. Daryl Wood Gerber gives us A Glimmer of a Clue in the second Fairy Garden Mystery.

Brooklyn Wainwright is a San Francisco book-restoration expert. An old friend sends her a rare first edition of Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier to restore. Then the friend shows up at her doorstep in disguise. She’s had two near-fatal attacks, weird notes, hang-up phone calls, and a car chase. It goes back to when she was nine and saw her dad and several men planning a crime. Now her life is in danger and Brooklyn has to read between the pages. Little Black Book is the fifteenth Bibliophile Mystery by Kate Carlisle.
