Hopping Rabbit: A Poem For Mental Health Month

When Marc sent us this poem it wasn’t with the desire for it to go up at a certain time, but we felt that it was a perfect poem to go up during Mental Health Month.

My life is a rabbit.
jumping
No one knows better than me the qualities of bunny
a turtle
Are slow, shielded is that trying to be safe

So why would I mention a rabbit and a turtle in the same sentence if I wasn’t trying to reenact the famous race between the turtle and the hare? This is the way bipolar is this is the way bipolar is:

Bipolar is a type of mental illness and it has a lot of symptoms being very very fast and miraculous and then being a very slow and bedridden back-and-forth
I wouldn’t have said this 25 years ago but medicine can help.

When I first started taking medicine I thought that it would ruin my creativity but it hasn’t.
