Pirates! Band of Misfits stars Hugh Grant as the voice of Pirate Captain, who leads a band of misfit pirates. They go to sign up for the Pirate of the Year awards with the hopes that this year will finally be his year, but he can’t compete with the other pirates in the competition and gets discouraged until he meets Charles Darwin (David Tennant). Darwin is a scientist who wants to take Pirate Captain’s parrot, which turns out to be a rare Dodo bird, to a scientist award ceremony. Charles Darwin wants to earn the Scientist award to impress the queen whom he is in love with. However, Pirate Captain wants to present the bird to her instead hoping he will win and that the award will be treasure. He and his pirates dress up in disguise to try and win the award, but the award but doesn’t end up being what he expected.

Pirates! Band of Misfits is a cute story with a twist on Pirates that we don’t usually see. They were very creative in the characters they created for Pirate Captain’s crew. There was a mix of unique pirates such as a lady dressed up as a man in a beard, an Albino pirate that wasn’t all there, and many more. It’s not your typical set of pirates. If you enjoy Pirate stories this is a must see. My daughter loves Pirates and was very excited to be able to see it. It’s a fun movie to be enjoyed by all ages.

The gold medal for all-around wonderful kitty could easily go to darling Chicken Little! This cutiepie never misses an opportunity to hoot it up with her friends, explore any nook or cranny, and make it her mission to check out whatever happens to be going on. Chicken Little came along way after suffering a toe injury calling for immediate amputation. She's all better now and you can't even notice she's missing a rear toe. What an adorable combination she is of fun-loving spirit and sweet, deep affection, a girl who will easily capture hearts in a forever family that cherishes her. Precious Chicken Little would love to be your most darling doll! Check her out on the Cat House website to learn more.
