Spending a night out with your family and loved ones is the best way to ensure everyone has fun. Although it’s easy to pick a restaurant, the entertainment besides that can be harder to choose.

Luckily, there are tons of options to pick from!

From classic mini-golf to trying to escape a mysterious room together, these are five fun ideas for a night out that your entire family will enjoy.

Classic Mini Golf
Mini golf is one of those activities that have become a cliché since so many people do it: but it’s still incredibly fun. Take your family out to mini-golf, and have fun keeping track of who’s winning and who’s, unfortunately, racking up the most points. This is an incredibly fun way to spend time together.

Create a Fun Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are fun for everyone, allowing us to use our minds to solve problems and spot whatever we’re looking for. For a family, this means one family member carefully planning out the hunt throughout the night and everyone else getting to have fun following it and getting to see their hometown through the search.

Make the Most of a Movie Night
Although movies can be adult entertainment, add some glamour for your kids and make it a fun movie night for everyone. Dress up like you’re going to a red-carpet event for a touch of fun and excitement, and attend a movie that your whole family can agree on.

Make sure to get lots of popcorn and drinks, and have fun with it!

Take on an Escape Room
Escape rooms are one of the best ways to have fun with your family. Research ahead of time to ensure it’s a family-friendly escape room, and then prep your family for it by telling them ahead of time.

Work together to solve puzzles and escape together! This is awesome for a family who wants to be able to work as a team.

Go Star Watching
Star watching is an incredible chance to see the universe around us and take in how beautiful the distant stars and planets are. If you’re in a large city, you won’t be able to see stars with the naked eye, so consider going to an observatory or space center that offers night-sky views instead: but if you live outside of city limits, you have far more choices.

While stargazing outside, make sure you bring bug spray and comfortable blankets or other surfaces you can happily lay down on top of grass with. Not only will this make the experience more comfortable, but it’ll also allow you to focus on the stars more than anything else.

Every Night Out With Your Family Should Be Magical
Whether you plan a night out every week and want to mix things up, or this is a new party on your schedule, and you want to start out on the right foot, consider some of these awesome options for a night of fun! Your family will talk about it for years to come.
