After her television show as a television psychic was cancelled, Lee Bartlett began her life over by returning home to live with her aunt in Salem, Massachusetts. An opportunity to teach television production at the Tabitha Trumbull Academy of the Arts has given her a path toward a new career, and a fire at her Aunt Isobel Russell’s home has Lee rebuilding from scratch in their renovated upstairs apartment.

The only reason I became remotely interested in Beautiful Creatures was seeing Emmy Rossum be a bad ass witch in the original trailer. Once I saw that Jeremy Irons, Viola Davis and Emma Thompson were involved as well I was completely sold. My only misgivings were the constant comparisons to Twilight because it was based on a popular young adult book series.

Using this talent, Alex works as a private investigator and a consultant to the police department to help solve crimes. Alex lives in a world where the mystical has been revealed and witches, faeries and other mystical beings live out in the open.

While magic and witches have gained a lot of popularity in TV, movies and books over the last 20 years, especially since Harry Potter hit the scene, the story of the Salem Witch Trials has been around since the 1600’s and is something most people are familiar with. This story is brought to life in Good Company Players’ production ofThe Crucible now on stage at Second Space in Fresno.
