This weekend I experienced a theatre marathon, seeing three shows that all fit in perfectly with the Halloween season! First was Dracula at COS, then The Rocky Horror Show at the Ice House in Visalia, and lastly the suspenseful thriller Wait Until Dark at the Reedley Opera House.
West Side Story opens at the Reedley Opera House, presented by the Reedley River City Theatre Co., this weekend! Check out this fun trailer for the show and get your tickets now!
The San Joaquin Valley is very rich in great theatre all year long and we at KRL enjoy covering it and sharing our finds with our readers. As part of our 5th anniversary celebration, it seemed a perfect time to highlight some of the great shows coming to the Valley this summer! We are also giving away tickets to four of these shows so you can celebrate with us.
If you are looking for a shave and haircut I wouldn't recommend the barber Sweeney Todd, but if you are looking to see a good musical, I do recommend you going to see Sweeney Todd the musical now on stage at the Reedley Opera House.

Well another year of theatre in the Valley has come to an end and as always, there were some really great shows.
Valley premiere's included Bonnie & Clyde in Visalia, which was also one of my favorite shows of the year.
This weekend we had the pleasure of seeing a fun musical that I'd never seen before, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, featuring the music of Neil Sedaka. It opened this past weekend at the Reedley Opera House, presented by the Reedley River City Theatre Company.
One would expect a musical named after a beauty product to be silly and fluffy, and while the musical Hairspray is filled with a lot of fun, energy, and laughter, it also has an amazing message--this is why it is one of my favorite shows. Hairspray opened this past weekend at the Reedley Opera House, presented by the Reedley River City Theatre Co., and I must say they have definitely done this show justice!
The heartwarming tale of an orphan named Annie has been touching hearts for years--first as a comic strip and then as a musical, and later as movies. This month the musical Annie comes to life again on the stage of the Reedley Opera House, presented by the River City Theatre Company.
