The University Theatre’s production of Heathers: The Musical in Fresno is one you don’t want to miss. While dark humor is a fickle craft, this cast managed to hit all the comedic moments perfectly. I had never seen this play, but it has been a cult classic for so long that I was wary of the love that everyone seemed to have for it (Oh, the cynic in me), but after this performance, I’m sold.
Another wonderful year of Valley theatre is behind us, and it is time again to take a look back. 2016 was filled with Valley premieres, musical classics, and amazing performances--too many to mention them all, but here are a few.
Heathers the Musical opened this past weekend at the Selma Arts Center, presented by the Raisin' Cain Players, and it runs through August 20, and is a Valley premiere of this musical.
Valley theatre always seems to be bringing us something new to see, and this summer has been no exception! Right now the Valley premiere of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is on stage in Reedley, and next month the Valley premiere of Heathers the Musical is coming to Selma, presented by the Raisin' Cain Players.
