After running away from a marriage proposal and fleeing to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Lucy Richardson finally found her dream as the Assistant Director for the Bodie Island Lighthouse Library. Lucy even met her soulmate and is now engaged to the town’s mayor/dentist Connor McNeil. While they have not yet set an exact date or made any wedding plans, their friends and family are enthusiastically throwing them the perfect engagement party on Coquina Beach. Definitely not on the invitation list but arriving late anyway are Richard Lewiston the Third, his mother Evangeline, and her very barky bichon frise Fluffy.

Reading Up a Storm By Eva Gates: Review/Interview/Giveaway

The Lighthouse Library is celebrating Bertie’s tenth anniversary at the library. A big storm is coming so as soon as the cake’s cut and eaten, guests head for home. For Lucy, that’s a short commute as she lives above the library in the lighthouse itself. The bright light of the beacon doesn’t bother her but on this particular night, between flashes, she sees a light bobbing in the water, like a boat being tossed by the waves.

The gold medal for all-around wonderful kitty could easily go to darling Chicken Little! This cutiepie never misses an opportunity to hoot it up with her friends, explore any nook or cranny, and make it her mission to check out whatever happens to be going on. Chicken Little came along way after suffering a toe injury calling for immediate amputation. She's all better now and you can't even notice she's missing a rear toe. What an adorable combination she is of fun-loving spirit and sweet, deep affection, a girl who will easily capture hearts in a forever family that cherishes her.
