I remember long ago watching the 1989 movie Driving Miss Daisy staring Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy. It was a sweet film and a sweet story, so when I heard that Good Company Players were doing the show at 2nd Space this year, I marked it on my calendar. It seemed like a good way to start the new year.

The Visalia Players are proud to present Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-drama Driving Miss Daisy. The play and film made popular by such stars as Jessica Tandy, Morgan Freeman, Angela Lansbury, and James Earl Jones depict the twenty-five year relationship of a Jewish woman raised in the segregated South and her African-American chauffeur, a product of the same era.

The gold medal for all-around wonderful kitty could easily go to darling Chicken Little! This cutiepie never misses an opportunity to hoot it up with her friends, explore any nook or cranny, and make it her mission to check out whatever happens to be going on. Chicken Little came along way after suffering a toe injury calling for immediate amputation. She's all better now and you can't even notice she's missing a rear toe.
