COS Art Gallery Presents Memoirs, Recollections, & Heirlooms

March marks Women’s history Month. In honor of this, the COS Art Gallery will showcase the work of three women, Serena Stevens, Sarah Fagan, and Tara Polansky in the upcoming exhibition, Memoirs, Recollections, & Heirlooms. The show will run from March 10 – April 3 with a reception on Thursday, March 12 from 5-7 p.m. in the COS Art Gallery. The exhibition features paintings and sculpture which all deal with nostalgia, memories, and the preciousness of them.

We Will Live Forever! featuring works by Marty Azevedo at COS Art Gallery

The COS Art Department has a rich history of talented students. The chance to showcase their talent where they first got their start, does not only benefit the artist themselves but also the current COS students and public. Marty Azevedo’s inspiring large-scale prints with mixed media elements graces the walls of the COS Art Gallery for the last exhibition of the Fall 2014 semester in “We Will Live Forever!” The show will run from October 28 through November 21 with an opening reception on Thursday, October 30 from 5-7 p.m. in the COS Art Gallery.

COS Art Gallery: The Work of Crystal Galindo

The COS Art Gallery is proud to feature the work of Crystal Galindo for our first show of the spring 2014 semester! The exhibition, “Multifacetica: Un Cambio de Paradigma,” which translates to Multifaceted: A Paradigm Shift, features large and vibrant paintings that are full of life. Galindo’s work focuses on realistic portraiture combined with an assortment of patterns, landscapes and iconic symbols that tell the story of each person being portrayed.

Opening Doors/Opening Minds South Valley Artists’ Studio Tour

The Arts Consortium is offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the world of local artists with the first biennial South Valley Artists’ Studio Tour: Opening Doors/Opening Minds taking place March 22-24, 2013. Over the course of three days, more than 30 Tulare County artists (listed below) will open their personal studio doors to the public, demonstrating their individual creative processes and sharing different phases and facets of their work.
