Morning Show Mystery
The new Morning Show Mysteries movie, Murder on the Menu, stars Holly Robinson Peete as Billie Blessings, chef, restaurant owner, and a television morning show host, and Rick Fox as Homicide Detective, Ian Jackson.hallmark movies and mysteries

When the celebrity chef guest starring on Billie’s television show segment finds a woman’s dead body in the trunk of his rental car, Billie is reunited with Ian to help solve the crime and clear the chef from being suspect number one. When the famous chef is implicated in another murder, Billie knows something doesn’t add up with either murder. Is the detective from the cold case murder trying to frame the chef or is it someone else playing this deadly game? When Billie is forced to confront the chef on-air, his business partner becomes involved and threatens Billie. Are the two murders really connected or is it just a coincidence?

The cast in this series really come together to give us a twisted and well-plotted murder. The acting is top rate, and the story line really delivers some suspenseful moments. I am looking forward to seeing more of this series brought to television!

Aurora Teagarden Mystery
Candace Cameron Bure (crime fighting librarian, Roe Teagarden), Marilu Henner (Roe’s mother), Lexa Doig (newspaper reporter and Roe’s best friend), Peter Benson (homicide detective) and Niall Matter (college professor and Roe’s new romantic interest) star in the latest installment of the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: The Disappearing Game.hallmark movies and mysteries

When Roe’s nephew, his roommate, and the roommate’s girlfriend disappear from the boy’s college dorm on the night of the nephew’s birthday, Roe starts an investigation, only to discover that the girlfriend has been killed in an apparent hit and run. When she learns that another friend of the three kids has been kidnapped, and that the four of them were together, she doesn’t believe that the kidnapped boy’s parents are telling the whole truth. Can Roe find the truth behind all the lies and save the kids before another one ends up dead or will she be too late?

This is another great example of a cast that works well with each to give us an entertaining series of mystery movies. The plots and subplots are always well done and leave you wanting more of the same.

  1. These Hallmark movies each have a schedule listed (check the website) that shows the times and dates they are offered on Hallmark Channel, so if you are busy when a certain show premiers, you can look up a later date and time you can see them. I love this idea. (I have cable TV, but some people stream shows. I don’t know how the streaming works.)

  3. The Morning Show Mysteries are written by Al Roker and are new to Hallmark Movies and Mysteries this season and the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries were written by Charlaine Harris who also wrote the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries that inspired the True Blood TV series. Aurora Teagarden episodes were televised last year, too. I really enjoy both very much. They are cozy mysteries that the whole family can enjoy.

    • Barbara Cameron. I don’t know where you live, but I’ve been getting notices for those who don’t have cable like mine, and I believe I’m correct in saying, if you sign up (and maybe with a small fee) one can stream Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel. I suggest going to their website and looking for a notice to that effect, or maybe trying to contact someone who can tell you better than I can. I subscribe to both channels and they send me emails about whatever is coming up.

  5. Aurora Teagarden is my favorite simply because I’m madly in love with Candace Cameron Bure.
