MONSTERS WEEKLY — Fresno Monsters Hockey
WEEKEND RECAP
The Fresno Monsters hosted the Wenatchee Wild this past weekend at Selland Arena.
On Friday night the Monsters played a very good game only to fall in a shootout to the 1st place Wild 3-2. Kyle Sucher and Trevor Husch scored goals for Fresno. James Mathias was named the games 3rd star for his high-energy play and big hits.
“On Saturday the Wild came out with intensity that Fresno could not match,” said Media Relations Director Mark Haupt. Wenatchee jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Monsters got on the board with a Mark Bittner goal late in the first period. Fresno played a much better 2nd and 3rd period but the 1st period slump was too much to overcome and the Monsters would lose this game by a final of 4-1.
