To Catch a Spy is a new series entry in Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Signature Movies lineup. It stars Nathalie Kelly as Chole Day, a travel magazine writer, and Colin Donnell as Aaron Maxwell, an FBI agent.
Chole is in Malta covering a hotel opening and Aaron is working on a case of stolen documents at the U.S. Embassy. Chole overhears an argument thru the air vent system that results in her discovering a body under her balcony only to have the body disappear when the police arrive. Chole enlists Aaron’s help only to discover that the Embassy theft and the missing body are tied up together. Both mysteries revolve around an elusive spy named Cipher. Can Chole and Aaron solve the cases before the spy disappears again?
This entry in a new series was pure entertainment of the highest degree. The cast worked together very well, and the plot was well written resulting in many twists and turns. I can’t wait to see another entry in this series.
The Morning Show Mysteries is an established series with some major changes in the sixth telemovie, Murder Ever After. Starring Holly Robinson Peete as television host Billie Blessings, she has sold her restaurant, and, after the departure of Rick Fox, she has a new love interest in Detective Tyrell played by Colin Lawrence.
When Billie discovers a skeleton in her friend’s father’s basement, Tyrell gets the case. The remains appear to be Billie’s friend’s stepmother who disappeared several years ago following the disclosure that she was having an affair with a neighbor. Billie gets involved trying to keep her friend and her father out of jail. What happened to the man the stepmother was seeing? Did they run off together or is one of them the skeleton?
This was a great new entry in this wonderful series. The twists and turns in the plot will keep you guessing as you follow this entertaining story.
The sixteenth Aurora Teagarden Mysteries entry is Til Death Do Us Part and stars Candace Cameron Bure as Aurora “Roe” Teagarden, librarian and, as a true crime fan, she is a member of the Real Murders Club along with Niall Matter as Nick Miller, local professor, with BFF and newspaper reporter Sally Allison (Lexa Doig), and mother Aida Teagarden (Marilu Henner). The show concludes with their wedding after solving an old murder.
When skeletal remains are discovered in a recently sold warehouse, the seller is an old friend of Roe’s father Charles Teagarden (Andrew Airlie) who is in town for the wedding. When the police investigation settles on Roe’s father and his group of friends as the primary suspects, Roe and Nick go all out to solve the murder just four days before the wedding. The murder victim had worked with Roe’s father and his friends before he supposedly left town for a new job. Roe and Nick discover that her father and his friends are lying and omitting facts about the victims last day in town. Can Roe and Nick find the murderer so her father can walk her down the aisle without wearing handcuffs?
This was a very entertaining entry in this popular series. As always, the cast works well together and the plot has many twists and turns that will keep you guessing.

When a young waitress is found poisoned after talking to Jeff who had advised her to go to the police, Zee and Jeff team up to solve the crime. As the investigation goes forward, Zee has a large amount of money show up in her checking account at the local bank. What does this have to do with the murder of the waitress? Can Zee and Jeff connect the clues and solve the crime and figure out where the money came from?
