We’re all a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, and lucky that I am to announce two new series for your reading pleasure!
It’s Purr M for Murder in T.C. LoTempio’s latest. You may know the author from her Nick and Nora cat mysteries, but this is a cat rescue series. Sydney McCall, a nice Irish name, left New York City, an ex-fiancé, and an advertising job to return home to Deer Park, NC, and help her sister run an animal shelter, Friendly Paws.

Lucky Smith and her daughter, Constable Moonlight “Molly” Smith, each had high expectations of “firsts” for their October Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. Lucky was taking a first vacation away as a couple in Banff with Paul Keller, while Molly was cooking a Thanksgiving meal for herself and her new fiancée, Royal Canadian Mounted police dog handler, Adam Tocek. Both Smiths seemed destined for disappointment though, considering Molly’s complete lack of cooking skills and Lucky’s inability to stand down from a confrontation.

As the spring ski season ends in Trafalgar, British Columbia, high school English teacher Cathy Lindsay is shockingly gunned down while taking a vacation hike on a trail near her home. At first, the middle-aged mother and wife to inoffensive computer programmer, Gord Lindsay, would seem to be the least likely of targets for a sniper. Even in this quiet community though, everyone has a secret and Sergeant John Winters soon discovers that all was not well in the Lindsay marriage. Rumors of affairs by both parties abound, although he also has reason to wonder if the shooting stems from random violence or worse and could be linked to a high school student.
