The Visalia Players at the Ice House Theater present the timeless and suspenseful play, Wait Until Dark. Directed by Central Valley theater favorite, Joseph Ham, and featuring an outstanding cast, including Ice House veterans Christa Reiber as Susy and Alex Quezada as Roat, this production promises to keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
In Frederick Knott’s Wait Until Dark, darkness is an obstacle and a liability for Susy Hendrix (Alyssa Benitez), but it becomes her best defense. Share the terror at the Selma Arts Center through May 26.
This weekend I experienced a theatre marathon, seeing three shows that all fit in perfectly with the Halloween season! First was Dracula at COS, then The Rocky Horror Show at the Ice House in Visalia, and lastly the suspenseful thriller Wait Until Dark at the Reedley Opera House.
Hanford is known for Dairy Industry (especially the ice cream), but the Temple Theater is noteworthy as well. Home to the Kings Players, the non-profit organization puts out four staged shows per year at the Historic Landmark. The third installment, Wait Until Dark, is opening Friday September 4 and runs through Sunday, September 27.
If you enjoy a good mystery like I do, you don't want to miss Wait Until Dark, currently on stage at 2nd Space in Fresno. This Broadway hit inspired the 1967 film starring Audrey Hepburn.
