The Soup Quest

Sometimes, I eat alone. When I do so, my options are broader, brighter, and easier. But I do not always eat alone. When I eat with others, it is not necessary for my health that I eat. I have other ways of getting nutrition, but it is more pleasant and more of a celebration if I can order and savor something from the menu.

Tree of Life Growing in Downtown Fresno, Part 2

The tree stands at 2139 Kern St. between M and L Streets. Inside the Tree of Life Café are the fruits of many local trees along with other delicacies prepared by Chef Phillip Ocheltree, under the watchful and proud eyes of his parents, Steve and Carolyn.

Soon the house will awaken and I will start making noise. My tea and honey have been quiet and my morning reading virtually silent. I get loud when I start stirring around the kitchen. I have choices, many of them. I can have whole grain pancakes, rice cakes, something with corn meal, oats with fruit and nuts, or maybe something on the skillet.
