I have been in love with the story of King Arthur and Camelot for as long as I can remember. I grew up with the movie, and have seen the show on stage three times now. It is a story and world that I adore, and a musical full of fun songs and characters. When I heard that the Good Company Players were producing the show this season, I couldn’t wait to see it! Camelot is based on the book The Once and Future King by T.H. White. It is a classic Lerner and Loewe musical.

This weekend I had the chance to see God of Carnage, currently on stage at the Fresno Art Museum’s Bonner Auditorium, and presented by StageWorks Fresno. I always say that StageWorks Fresno never disappoints, and I can continue to stand by that. It was definitely an enjoyable evening at the theatre.

This weekend I had the great pleasure of seeing I Am My Own Wife in Fresno. I honestly had no idea what the play was about–I just knew I was seeing a one-man show produced by StageWorks Fresno and starring Terry Lewis. That was all I needed to know to be assured it would be a great show. Well, I wasn’t disappointed!

Imagine a frightening world where a severe drought made using the bathroom a privilege. Where you had to pay to pee and going in the street was punishable by jail time. This is the world of Urinetown.

This weekend A Little Night Music opened in Fresno at the Cal Arts Severance Theatre presented by StageWorks Fresno. As usual, StageWorks Fresno never disappoints. It was a wonderful show filled with incredible talent.

It has been my privilege at KRL to see some incredible theatre in this Valley and I have been blown away by the talent here. A name that I had been hearing constantly ever since I began covering local theatre was Terry Lewis–not just as an incredible performer but also as a great vocal coach. Yet I kept missing my chance to see him perform, though I had definitely seen his work as a vocal coach for some incredible shows. Finally, this year I saw him in Avenue Qand yes, he is everything they say he is.
