Among the social science teachers at Reedley High, Alexander Busch originates from Reedley and was a former student at the high school. He utilizes this feature to connect with students and understand their high school lives. After graduating from Reedley High and attending UC Santa Cruz, he taught English in the Czech Republic, primarily in the capital city of Prague located in the midst of the European country. Being articulate in both English and Czech, he visits and lives in the country each summer in order for his family to experience both cultures.

The ladies of Reedley High School’s Badminton team master this feat using a thin, lightweight racquet, with months of diligent practice and relentless effort. This indoor sport may seem like a typical picnic activity, but the girls aren’t here just to play.

Big Green Marching Band At Reedley High School

Marching down the streets of Reedley, California, is the Big Green Marching Band. It is one of the largest on the West Coast, consisting of over 300 students from Reedley High School, under the direction of Daniel Paulsen, Samuel Gipson, Lisa Dewhirst, Jason Aubrey, and Michael McGraw. This year, the Band built on the efforts of last year to fundraise for their trip to Disneyland.

The harmonic, angelic voices of the Reedley High School Choir have sang for as long as the school itself. A certificate for a superior rating from a festival was found dating back to the 1940s. The RHS Choir is currently led by director David dela Concepcion.

Academic Decathlon is a nationwide contest in which Decathletes are tested in seven areas, along with giving two speeches and having an interview.
