Peter and the Starcatcher

Did you ever wonder how Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Tinkerbell got to be what they were, and how they all got to Neverland? Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson did, and they wrote Peter and the Starcatcher. Rick Elice adapted it, with music by Wayne Barker, for the stage as Peter and the Starcatcher, and it now sails into Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theatre as a Good Company Players production, helmed by Emily Pessano as director.

Another wonderful year of Valley theatre is behind us, and it is time again to take a look back. 2016 was filled with Valley premieres, musical classics, and amazing performances–too many to mention them all, but here are a few.

Peter and the Starcatcher made its Fresno debut last weekend, presented by StageWorks Fresno at the Fresno Art Museum in the Bonner auditorium. I did not realize that it was based on a novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson–had I known that, I would have realized what a crazy and fun ride it would be!
