KRL has had the pleasure throughout the years of seeing local actor Peter Allwine on stage many, many times in many different shows. An extremely talented actor and singer, the local theatre scene hasn’t seen a lot of him on stage for the last few years. Now he is taking on a very different type of role as the new General Manager of Reedley’s River City Theatre Company, which operates out of the Reedley Opera House, so we sat down to chat with him about this new adventure.

Avenue Q: On Stage In Visalia

My daughter and I went to see Avenue Q this weekend and since she knows the show so well I thought it would be great to let her share her feelings before throwing in a few of my own. We’ve had the great pleasure of seeing three Tony Award winning shows in a row now—this one being the latest—and I have to say each made me even prouder of the incredibly talented theatre community here in this Valley!

Countdown to Rent in Visalia! Cast Hits the Streets To Promote Show!

The first local production of Rent in the Valley will be upon us in less than a month, as they open on July 22 at the Main Street Theater in downtown Visalia. The show is being produced by the Fourth Wall Theatre Company and has a special twist of also being a fundraiser for local HIV/AIDS programs.
